Principal's Comment

Kia ora e te Whanau


Today we held our 'Onekawa's Got Talent' competition. A huge congratulations to our finalists for putting in awesome performances. We are very proud of you! We have photos of the finalists below.


Congratulations also to Mr Meehan who was part of the Hawkes Bay team that has won the New Zealand Indoor Cricket competition. Way to go Mr Meehan!!!


We've had another awesome term and I wish to thank our children for their continued outstanding behaviour and attitude towards learning. Thanks also to my amazing staff who always put in 100% for our children.


I wish all our children a lovely holiday and look forward to seeing you all back next term.

School Moveathon

A huge thanks to all those people who supported our Moveathon; we have raised approximately $7,000 towards our Playscape!!!


The Moveathon event was a success with children managing to complete forty minutes of movement!

Congratulations to Nate for placing 6th in the Hawkes Bay Cross Country Championships!

Teacher only day - Tuesday 24 October

Schools are granted teacher only days to focus on the revised New Zealand school curriculum over 2023 and 2024.


We opted not to use the first day earlier this year due to the disruption of Cyclone Gabriele.


We will be having our only teacher only day for the year on Tuesday 24 October. This coincides with Hawkes Bay Anniversary Day and Labour Weekend.
