I hope this message finds you well and that you are enjoying the remaining days of summer. As we quickly approach the end of summer break, I want to update you on our district's exciting activities and developments.

Our schools are already bustling with energy as fine arts camps and athletic camps are back in full swing. Students are enthusiastically participating and preparing for a successful and competitive year ahead. Meanwhile, our dedicated teachers, curriculum specialists, and administrators are working diligently to prepare for the upcoming school year. At the beginning of each new year, we spend considerable energy ensuring the La Porte U Summer Staff Development Conference is well presented. This conference, which we are proud to host right here in our district, plays a critical role in equipping our teaching and support staff with the necessary skills and knowledge for the new academic year.

In addition to our educational endeavors, we are thrilled to share significant progress on the construction phase of the new Bulldog Stadium and Educational Complex. Each day brings us closer to realizing this majestic facility, and we have already begun to see images of what it will entail. This stadium and educational complex promise to be a cornerstone of our community, providing state-of-the-art resources for our students and the entire La Porte community.

We encourage all stakeholders to review our district's website regularly to stay informed about all the important updates and information necessary for the upcoming school year. We will continuously update the website with crucial details to help our parents and students prepare effectively. This summer, our school district is igniting a passion for reading with an exciting series of pop-up reading events. Along with the read aloud, participants have an opportunity to make bookmarks, enjoy a popsicle and log Beanstack reading minutes. These pop up events are not just about reading; they're about building a community of readers and fostering a love for literacy. Here is a schedule of future events. Come join us!
