A Message from Dr. Brian Kaye, Superintendent
Dear District 25 Families,
As we begin this month, I want to take a moment to acknowledge recent conversations surrounding executive orders and their potential impact on education at the federal level. Understandably, these actions have raised questions about what they mean for our district, our classrooms, and most importantly, our students.
At this time, our commitment to fostering an inclusive, student-centered learning environment remains unchanged. The instructional practices and curriculum in District 25 continue to align with Illinois state standards and district policies, ensuring that all students feel valued, respected, and supported. As always, we will carefully monitor any federal directives and work with the Board of Education to assess any potential implications for our schools.
These current executive orders do not require school districts to make any immediate changes. We will communicate with the Board of Education if we believe any directives would impact classroom-level education. Currently, there have been no changes to federal legislation, regulations, or funding that would warrant a local response, and all Illinois state laws remain intact.
Please know that we remain steadfast in our mission to provide a high-quality education that prepares every student for success, regardless of shifting political landscapes. We appreciate your trust in our schools and will keep you informed of any updates.
Thank you for your partnership in making District 25 a place where every student belongs and thrives.
Together Today 2 Transform Tomorrow,
Dr. Brian Kaye
Superintendent

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! 🙏 We are so grateful for the support of our community throughout the #Build25 projects! It’s been a little over a month with students in our new #Build25 spaces so we figured we’d look back at the ribbon cutting ✂️ events we had for each space! You could see the excitement on their faces as the students saw their new spaces! 🤩 🤗
The District's #Build25 project held a ribbon cutting ceremony at all six schools that underwent expansion projects last week. Each community came out to support the project openings in bunches! Thank you to the representatives of the Village, Park District, local government, and our Board of Education for coming out to support the project openings! For a complete view of each project, please visit www.sd25.org/Build25 or click here to watch videos of each project!
Also, for the full timeline of events, visit the Build25 page: www.sd25.org/Build25.
🌟🔍 Escape Room Energy in the Thomas LMC! 🧩🕵️♀️
Middle schoolers put their teamwork to the test as they cracked puzzles, uncovered clues, and raced against time to find the runaway gnome! 🪄🎩 With every riddle solved and lock opened, their excitement (and detective skills) leveled up!
🚪✨ Did they free the gnome? Oh, you better believe it—AND had a blast doing it! This is next-level library fun, turning books and brains into the ultimate adventure! 📚💡
A huge shoutout to our incredible teachers and staff, who are always finding creative and engaging ways to inspire and challenge our students. From the classroom to the LMC, they turn learning into unforgettable experiences!
Drop a 🕵️♂️ if you’d crush this puzzle challenge or a 🎉 to give these students (and their teachers!) a round of applause!
🌿 Wednesday Wellness: Strengthening the Meta-Moment! 🌿
Across Arlington Heights School District 25, our teachers are dedicated to supporting students’ social-emotional learning in meaningful ways. One example is at South Middle School, where students are building emotional resilience through the Wednesday Wellness!
Each month, through the announcements, South highlights a Wellness Tool—a simple, independent strategy students can use in class when they’re feeling anxious or overwhelmed.
💡 How it Works:
✅ The entire building focuses on the same tool for the month.
✅ Every Wednesday, students get a reminder during announcements.
✅ Teachers display a visual poster in their classrooms.
✅ Educators look for authentic moments—before a test, quiz, or presentation—to encourage practice.
February’s tool is already in action! This is just one of the many ways our district is prioritizing student well-being. 💙
🎉 Gators Care in Action! 🐊❤️
Greenbrier’s Gators Care week wrapped up in the best way possible—228 cereal boxes donated to the local food pantry AND an epic domino-style grand finale! 🥣👏
Throughout the week, our gators showed what it means to serve with heart:
💙 Teaming up to make blankets for Phil’s Friends @philsfriends 🛌
🎨 Creating kindness rocks to spread positive messages 🌎
✉️ Writing letters to brighten the days of nursing home residents 💌
A HUGE thank you to the GB PTA, administration, teachers, students, and families for making this week so special. Your kindness leaves a lasting impact!
Drop a 💚 in the comments if this made you smile—happy weekend, everyone! ✨🎊
