WMS Weekly Update Sept. 12, 2025

Good Afternoon WMS Families:

Back to School Night: Thursday, September 18, 2025 6:00-8:00 PM

We look forward to seeing families at Back to School Night. In efforts to alleviate traffic, parking and crowded classrooms, we are asking families to arrive at the following times (*If you cannot attend your time slot, it is okay to attend the other). Parents, if you are bringing your child with you, please ensure they stay with you throughout the evening (in years past we had many students walking the building unsupervised).

6:00-7:00 Families with last name beginning with A-K:

Families will meet in the cafeteria for a brief overview with Mr. Atkinson. Families will then be escorted to their child’s homeroom or cluster area by 8th Grade peer leaders (families may also refer to the staff roster below for rooms).

Teams and/or homeroom teachers will introduce themselves and provide information about their curriculum and classroom expectations. Following that, families are welcome to visit Essentialist Teachers (Art, Music, Phys.Ed, Steam) or specific team teachers if they have additional questions.

7:00-8:00 Families with last name beginning with L-Z in the cafeteria - same agenda as above

The APS Welcome Center serves all APS families, students, and staff. Contact or visit the Welcome Center for access to Community Resources, Community Flyers, and support for all things APS.
