Benefit Our Staff And Students, Too
Who is KEF?
A Partner In Supporting Our District
Since 2001, the Kennett Education Foundation has partnered with the Kennett Consolidated School District to encourage innovative ideas, invest in programs that improve academic progress, promote family involvement and recognize the outstanding achievements of educators.
There Are Many Ways to Make A Difference–And Support Staff and Students
Give FREE Kudos During Appreciation Week
Want to give kudos to a special KCSD teacher or staff member? Has someone gone above and beyond, expressed kindness and compassion in a difficult situation, made our school environments feel safe and welcoming? It doesn't matter how big or small, let’s give thanks and celebrate these achievements!
Teacher Appreciation Week is Monday, May 5 - Friday, May 9–a time KCSD honors ALL staff for their contribution to the wellbeing of our students. You can, too, by sending a KEF KUDOS to any staff member in our district. It is FREE, and takes only a moment. Click below to send a KUDOS to someone who makes a difference!
Attend Or Send A Staff Member to the May 2 Spring Soirée
You don't have to attend the Soirée to impact their fundraising! Do you know you can send a teacher or staff member from KCSD to enjoy the evening while benefiting KEF? It is as easy as ordering a ticket for yourself! Simply go to the ordering page by Friday, April 25 at 11:59 p.m. and order a ticket for you or a KCSD staff member. Surprise a favorite teacher or staff member with a night out at the KEF Spring Soirée while benefiting their mission! Or, you can make a tax-deductible contribution at the same link below.
Educate Yourself
KEF Does So Much
Grants
KEF provides education grants for teachers to apply to activities and programs in our classrooms, scholarships to KCSD students, and recognizes outstanding teachers. From classroom materials, to club and program support, to fees for important trips, grants make educational experiences even more possible for our teachers and their students.
Scholarships
KEF currently awards over forty scholarships to graduating seniors of Kennett High School (KHS); and three eighth-grade music camp awards to students at the Kennett Middle School (KMS). The KHS recipients are selected from the current year graduating class by the Kennett High School Scholarship Committee.
Recognition
The outstanding teachers in each of the KCSD schools are recommended by their principals. KEF recognizes these outstanding teachers for their dedication to excellence in education. Each recipient of the KEF Outstanding Teacher Award receives a $100 cash prize, a bouquet of flowers and is an honored guest at the KEF Annual Spring Dinner.
A Partner Who Invests In Our Community
Find A Way To Support Their Efforts
Whether you attend a KEF event (like the Spring Soirée), volunteer, designate them as your donor choice agency through the United Way, or simply send a FREE Kudo to one of our staff members, we appreciate your efforts in helping KEF support the academic success of our children and strengthen our community.
