The PLHS 2025 Prom and (First Ever) Post Prom are in the books!!!
We would like to take a moment to thank all of the staff and parents who came out to support both events. Both were fantastic events, and students had a great time.
Ms. Mathison & Ms. Kapalka - you truly outdid yourselves with organizing and executing another successful PLHS prom. Mr. Reposa - a big shout out to you for your assistance at both events from start to finish!!!
To Ms. Stacey Ingram and Ms. Molly Grasso - and the multitude of parents who participated - "Thank you" does not begin to cover the scope of appreciation we have for the hard work, effort, and tireless hours spent on creating a safe and fun environment for our Monarchs.

District Music Competition
Congratulations to Mr. Keller and Mr. Morgan as the Monarch Wind Ensemble earned a Superior Rating at the District Music Competition held at Buena Vista High School!
Another huge congratulations to Ms. L'Heureux and Ms. Ussery as all thee choirs - Concert Choir, Advanced Treble, and Tenor Bass - received Superior Ratings at the District Music Competition.
Final Exams - Spring 2025
Please be aware, the only day lunch will be served is on Wednesday, 21 May. Breakfast will be served all three mornings.

Summer School
Dates for Summer School will be May 29th through June 13th. Sessions run from 8:00am - 11:00am or 12:00pm - 3:00pm. Registration for PE will be assigned as a first come, first serve basis. Registration opens at 4:00pm on April 7, 2025. The link to the Summer School sign-up genius is below and it is LIVE!!!
Registration for credit recovery will be done with students' counselors.
PLHS NHS Information
The following information is for current sophomores and juniors:
The application process for National Honor Society takes place in September 2025.
Eligible students must be juniors or seniors in the Fall of 2025 with a weighted GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Applicants are required to have completed at least 10 hours of community service within six months of September (this window begins March 2025).
These 10 hours of community service need to be toward one cause.
Any community service 9-12 grade will also be part of the application.
Students should also be prepared to list all activities in which they have participated during high school (in and out-of-school activities).
Students who meet the GPA requirements will receive a letter in July 2025. This letter will explain the application process.
If students have any questions, they may e-mail the sponsors and/or stop by to see the sponsors before the end of the semester.

Graduation Ceremony
Parents,
There have been quite a few calls regarding Graduation. Please note:
- Baxter Arena has a clear bag policy
- There are no tickets/ticket sales for graduation
- There is no limit to seats for family/attendees
- Seating is on a first-come-first-served basis
Diplomas for Graduating Seniors
Seniors!!!
If you are NOT walking in graduation on May 11th, you can pick up your diploma from the Front Office beginning on Monday, May 12th. Any diplomas not claimed will be mailed to the last known address on file for you on June 2nd.

Summer Driver's Ed
Monarch 2025 SUMMER DRIVER EDUCATION
Requirements!
1. Must be 15 years of age by the start of class.(We are unable to accept 18
year olds)
2. Students must have a Learners Permit or School Permit from the DMV of
Nebraska.
3. All students must have access to a computer or cell phone and email for
online testing. Students will need to bring a writing utensil and notebook to
class.
4. All students must complete 20 hours of classroom instruction.
5. Limit of 25 students per session.
6. The driving lessons are to be arranged with the instructor. Students are
expected to practice outside of class. The student will need to pass a DMV
approved road test to complete the class.
CLASSROOM DATES: June 2 - June 12
(Class held Monday through Thursday) No Friday Class
Session 1: 8:00-10:30
Session 2: 11:00 - 1:30

BEHIND-THE-WHEEL:
Driving arranged with instructor June 2 through July 3rd
The cost is $425.00
Once a class enrollment reaches 25, that class will be unavailable for
sign up. If all classes are full you will need to contact ESU#3 to be
put on a waitlist.

ESU#3 website. It will remain open until Class is full.

Please note: The PLHS Yearbook is a “fall delivery” book. Students will pick up their books at registration in August 2025. This allows for a book that can document the ENTIRE school year, including spring sports/activities, Prom & graduation.

If you need a 2024 - 2025 parking pass, click below to register your vehicle. You must complete all of the information to be issued a mandatory parking pass. Payment for the parking pass can be made through Linq Connect when paying with credit card.
