WMS Weekly Update May 16, 2025
May 15th, 2025
-THANK YOU to the PTO & school community for your hard work & generosity in raising funds for this year's Color Run. Because of your commitment to the WMS School Community, we outperformed last year's total. These funds will be used to support field trips, schools supplies and other necessary costs. MyBooster.com, our fundraising platform, will remain open for 1 more week for any last minute donations!
Thank you again for your support of our Wamsutta Color Run fundraiser!
-Looking ahead to the future, SturdyHealth wants to hear from YOU! Your voice as faculty, students & families is essential as Sturdy Health conducts a Community Needs Assessment. This critical survey will help better understand local health needs and improve healthcare services. It is quick, anonymous, and open to all. Click here for the 2025 Survey
-AHS Special Education would like you to join us in the Zito Conference Room from 8:30 to 10 on May 23rd, 2025, for an 8th to 9th Grade Transition Meeting for families of students who receive special education services. This is an important and exciting time as we prepare our students for the next step in their educational journey—high school!
The presentation is specially designed to support our students in special education and their families as they navigate this transition. We understand that moving from middle school to high school brings both opportunities and challenges, and our goal is to provide you with the information, resources, and reassurance you need to feel confident about the path ahead.
We’ll introduce key members of the high school team, review the supports and services available, and answer any questions you may have. Most importantly, we’re here to work together—because success in high school begins with strong partnerships and planning.
We will run through the presentation twice, once at 8:45 and once at 9:20, which will allow for an overview and leave time for questions. If you are unable to make it, here is the code for the presentation.
