During the meeting on October 14, the Board of Education appointed Gretchen Cammiso as the seventh grade assistant principal at Melvin H. Kreps Middle School. Ms. Cammiso comes to EWRSD with several years of administrative experience as well as years of teaching experience. Currently, she is a middle school assistant principal. She has also served as a high school athletic director and high school assistant principal. She is very excited to join the team as she enjoys working with middle school students. Ms. Cammiso will begin her transition to MHK and fully join the team in early December.

On Monday, October 14, teachers participated in a Professional Development Day. They sharpened their skills and shared innovative ideas to enhance student learning.

Superhero Day in Ms. Lasoto's class at Perry L. Drew Elementary School

The Melvin H. Kreps Middle School girls soccer team went to TCNJ for their annual trip on October 16. The girls got to cheer on a former Kreps player and see an example of sportsmanship and competition at the college level. The school has gone to a college game nearly every season for over 15 years and were excited to continue the tradition with our trip to see the Lions play Rutgers Camden.

Come out Friday night, 10/18 for the Jim Peto Cup. This year both teams will celebrate the life of Mr. Peto by selecting an Offensive and Defensive MVP.

Big congratulations to the Hightstown High School Boys Soccer team for winning the CVC-Valley Division!

Congratulations to 'Maddy Kelly and Karli Kelly on qualifying for the NJSIAA South Jersey Individual Championships in multiple events!

Best of luck to Maddy in Vault, Bars, & Beam & Karli in floor & Vault!

They will compete on November, 2nd at Manalapan High School.
