Upcoming Events
Oct. 7th-9th: District Assessments for 3rd, 4th, and 5th Graders
Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade will take District Assessments the mornings of October 7th, 8th, and 9th. Please make sure students are on time to school and try to schedule absences or appointments around these testing dates. Students perform better when testing with their teacher in a familiar environment, as opposed to a make-up group with a different teacher and classroom.

SEL Newsletter for October: Responsibility
This month we are talking about Responsibility. One way to define Responsibility is “taking action and understanding the impact of our choices.” Taking action can mean doing the right thing or completing the tasks you have been assigned. Understanding the impact of our choices means that our actions matter. Positive and responsible actions can help people and irresponsible actions can hurt others. Check out our Responsibility Newsletter here!
Before you meet with the teacher, talk to your child.
Getting your child's perspective is an important way to prepare for a parent-teacher conference. Ask your child questions about how school is going, such as: "What do you like about your class this year?" "What are some of the most successful things you've done?" "What was the most difficult project for you so far?" This makes it clear your child's opinions count, and that you and the teacher are working together to help your elementary schooler learn.
Important Reminders
Does your child have an upcoming birthday? Looking for a unique way to celebrate?
You can help make your child's birthday extra special by putting their name in lights! For $15, you can have your child's name displayed on our school marquee as well as on the schoolwide eClass page for a day. Place your order on mypaymentsplus.com.
- Remember to send in an excuse note for any student absences. This can be a personal note, a doctor's note, or a simple message to your child's teacher through Parent Square.
- Please remember that student checkout stops at 2:00 each day, as we begin to prepare for dismissal at that time.
- We understand that transportation changes can occur on occasion. Please be sure to email RosebudTransportation@gcpsk12.org by 12noon to communicate any changes to our staff.
- All parents who enter the building must have an ID. Please make sure to always have your ID with you when visiting Rosebud ES for any reason.
- Follow us on Facebook and stay up to date with events and reminders!
Have you joined PTA? We'd love to have you be a part of making our school the best it can be.
